Thanksgiving doesn’t have to be just turkey, stuffing and pie.

If you’re looking for new ideas for your holiday dinner table, here are five New York City restaurants offering modern interpretations of the classic Thanksgiving Dinner.

Classically-chic Upper East Side eatery, T-Bar Steak & Lounge, is offering an excellent Thanksgiving dinner prix fixe menu. Features appetizers like Pumpkin Soup, T-Bar’s popular Yellowfin Tuna Tartare, and Grilled Tiger Prawns, the menu is hard-to-resist. Choose between entrees like Oven Roasted Turkey, Lobster Risotto or Grilled Filet Mignon 10 oz. T-Bar’s famous desserts – like the Banana Parfaix Mille Feuilles – feature on the menu, alongside Traditional Pumpkin Pie and Warm Apple Crisp.

Under the watchful eye of restaurateur Tony Fortuna, and Executive Chef Ben Zwicker, T-Bar is an ideal place to take family and friends for an outstanding overall dining experience. The restaurant’s enchanting charm is brought to life by a stylish, dark-wood accented dining room, frosted glass details and orange back lighting.

Red Rooster is offering a prix fix, 3-course Thanksgiving Menu with traditional sides highlighting the flavors of the season. The Thanksgiving Menu features Autumn Soup, Roast Turkey with Sausage-Corn Bread Dressing and Madeira Giblet Gravy, and Bourbon Pumpkin Pie for dessert. Sides include Sweet Potato Puree, Butter Milk Mashed Potatoes and Glazed Root Vegetables.

Located in the heart of Harlem, Red Rooster serves comfort food celebrating the roots of American cuisine and the diverse culinary traditions of the neighborhood. Named in honor of the legendary Harlem speakeasy, award-winning Chef Marcus Samuelsson brings his passion for food to the vibrant neighborhood he calls home.

3. Swifty’s

Upper East Side Restaurant, Swifty’s, is an attractive option to enjoy a warm and cozy Thanksgiving with friends and family. The sophisticated, low-key restaurant, attracts a devoted clientele with Chef Stephen Attoe offering straight-forward American and European cuisine. The ambient dining room, enhanced by seasonal flowers, was created by renowned decorator Mario Buatta.

Serving prix fixe dinner from 12:00pm to 9:00pm, Swifty’s Thanksgiving Menu features First Course festive treats such as Baked French Onion Soup, Corn Chowder and Smoked Irish Salmon. Entrees include Roasted Murray’s Natural Turkey, Scottish Salmon, or Risotto Milanese. There is a large selection of deserts including Bourbon Pecan Pie, Steamed Ginger Pudding, and Double Rich Chocolate Mousse.

4. Le Cirque

Legendary restaurant Le Cirque, from famed restaurateur Sirio Maccioni and family, which has become a true symbol of New York gastronomy, is offering a special Thanksgiving Menu crafted by Executive Chef Raphael Francois. Clientele for over 40 years at the circus-themed restaurant have ranged from kings to presidents to Hollywood celebrities. The 16,000 square-foot architecturally designed space features a decorated large main dining room with silk billowing from the ceiling.

The prix fixe Thanksgiving Menu includes Pumpkin Veloute, Red Snapper, Organic Turkey with corn bread chestnut stuffing, and Venison with saddle, filet poached in sangria, agnolotis, gogorzonla cremificato. The Desert Menu features items like Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie and Apple-Cranberries Crumble. Le Cirque are also offering a special Thanksgiving Kids Menu.

Prix Fixe Menu is $125.00 per person. Kids Menu is $55.00 per person.

5. NoMad Hotel

Chef Daniel Humm’s exquisite four-course prix fixe this Thanksgiving features entrees served with an array of traditionally-inspired family-style dishes like buttermilk mashed potatoes and chestnut stuffing. There will be a white truffle appetizer, a selection of meat entrees such as cod, beef and turkey and a sweet potato dessert.

Guests can dine in the Parlour room, an inviting open hearth, where you can observe the preparation of fresh breads and seasonal specialties. A stately room featuring dark oak furnishings, richly textured fabrics and over 100 pressed antique herbs from the French heritage shop Deyrolle, the Parlour is an elegant and convivial area for Thanksgiving Dinner this year.

Prix Fixe Menu is $135 per person. Kids Menu is $65.00 per person.
